Our lead ranch hand Dale Fehr, comes to us with extensive ranch and feedlot experience, starting at Benchmark in 2001. He is an irreplaceable part of the Benchmark family. In the summer, you will find Dale on horseback checking cows and doing other day to day cattle ranching activities. Dale also enjoys hunting, leather work & breaks horses to be ranch ready. We appreciate Dale and his family so much and are proud to have him working along side us in the purebred cattle industry.

Laura is Dale's wife and the "chief" calf tag writer at Benchmark. She enjoys working in her home & caring for her family. She also assists Dale with paperwork & other various ranch jobs.

Rebekah is Dale & Laura's oldest daughter. She is working on finishing her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanities. She enjoys riding her horse on the ranch when she is home & has been known to help her Dad with the cattle.

Levi is Dale & Laura's middle child & would rather be in a machine than on a horse. He enjoys feeding the cows, running the loader and is a big help to his dad when he is home. Levi also loves doing leather work and when not in college, runs Levi's Custom Leatherwork.

Hannah is the youngest of the three and grew up on the ranch. She loves to hike & explore the different pastures. Hannah also spends time helping her Dad with ranch work. When not hiking or helping her Dad, Hannah runs her small business, W.O.W. Photography. Many of the pictures on our website & social media come from Hannah's talented work.

Shane Whiteman joined our team with forty years of seed stock experience behind him. Shane has worked with numerous breeds, primarily focusing on Angus for nearly twenty years. He worked at Basin Angus in Montana selling bulls and registered females and providing customer service throughout the United States and Canada for sixteen years. Shane knows our program and goals and is excited to be working with customers to help them select bulls that will not only meet their immediate needs, but will help them build a foundation of high performance and productivity in their herds.
Mike and Hailey are both very passionate about ranching as a whole. Hailey having been raised on a cattle ranch in southern British Columbia has had a love for horses and cattle from a very young age. In keeping with that love and passion Hailey became an Animal Health Technician and has been working as such for the past five years. Mike also developed a strong connection to livestock from a young age through time spent in horse and beef 4H. That connection led to years spent working on large cattle ranches throughout western Canada. Mike and Hailey are very proud to work for the Benchmark Ranch and look forward to being a part of bringing the operation to new heights of excellence each day!
